Educator

Join the Y NSW as an Educator and help create safe, engaging and inclusive experiences for primary school-aged children before and after school. Based across our Dee Why and Cromer OSHC services, you'll become part of a supportive team that helps children learn, play and grow every day.

Your roster

  • Monday afternoons at Dee Why (2:30 pm - 5:30 pm)
  • Tuesday to Thursday afternoons at Cromer (2:30 pm - 5:30 pm)
  • Additional morning shifts currently available at Cromer (7:00 am - 9:00 am Monday to Friday)
  • Additional Friday afternoon shift at Cromer (2:30 pm - 5:30 pm)

This combination provides up to 25 hours per week, with 12 permanent contracted hours and additional temporary hours currently available.

About the role

As an Educator, you'll:

  • Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • Deliver engaging play-based experiences
  • Support children's wellbeing, learning and development
  • Create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment
  • Contribute to high-quality programs aligned with the National Quality Framework
  • Support children with diverse needs to participate fully in our programs

What you'll bring

  • A passion for working with children
  • Previous experience in OSHC, childcare, education, recreation or youth programs (desirable)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to child safety and inclusion
  • Relevant Working With Children Check and willingness to complete required pre-employment checks
