About this role:

The Technical Product Owner partners with business and technology teams to define requirements, prioritize work, and deliver technology solutions that support business objectives. This role translates business needs into user stories and technical specifications, manages Agile delivery activities, and drives system enhancements, integrations, and process improvements.

The Technical Product Owner collaborates with stakeholders, vendors, and development teams to ensure successful solution delivery while supporting testing, production support, and business transformation initiatives.

In this role you will:

  • Gather and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
  • Support backlog prioritization and Agile delivery activities.
  • Partner with business teams, vendors, and developers to deliver technology solutions.
  • Design and implement small to medium system enhancements, integrations, automations, and technical solutions.
  • Participate in software development, testing, code reviews, troubleshooting, and production support activities.
  • Support regulatory, operational, and business transformation initiatives.
  • Maintain technical and functional documentation.

Additional Knowledge and Skills

Working effectively within an AI enabled environment:

  • Ability to use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support daily work
  • Skills in evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias
  • Experience integrating AI into workflows to improve efficiency or insights
  • Familiarity with AI assisted research, summarization, and content generation
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection

Work Experience and Education

  • Intermediate programming skills with ability to develop and maintain software solutions.
  • Experience with APIs, integrations, SQL, and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing practices, and Agile Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms.
