In Room Dining & Banquet Manager

As a Restaurant & Banquet Manager, you will play an important role in creating memorable guest experiences while leading and supporting our Food & Beverage teams.

You will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation of Room Service and Banquets, ensuring that our service standards are consistently delivered while supporting the team in achieving guest satisfaction, operational and financial objectives.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, developing people and creating exceptional experiences.

What You'll Do

Room Service Operations

  • Supervise and support the daily operation of Room Service.
  • Lead, train and motivate team members to deliver exceptional food and beverage service.
  • Ensure compliance with W Hotels standards, policies and procedures.
  • Monitor staffing levels and allocate resources according to business needs.
  • Follow up on operational issues and ensure appropriate actions are taken.
  • Step into operational roles when required and lead by example.
  • Monitor service quality and continuously identify opportunities for improvement.

Banquet Operations

  • Support the planning and execution of meetings, events and functions.
  • Ensure appropriate preparation of equipment, glassware, silverware and buffet presentations.
  • Work closely with the kitchen and other departments to ensure seamless service.
  • Support inventory and beverage cost control.
  • Schedule and deploy team members according to business levels and service requirements.
  • Lead shifts and actively participate in event service.
  • Build strong relationships with groups and contribute to repeat business.

Guest Experience

  • Create memorable and personalised experiences for our guests.
  • Be visible and engaged with guests throughout service.
  • Proactively seek guest feedback and respond to their needs.
  • Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally and effectively.
  • Empower team members to deliver exceptional service.
  • Lead by example and consistently represent the W Hotels experience.

People & Leadership

  • Motivate, coach and develop team members.
  • Set clear expectations and provide regular feedback.
  • Support onboarding, orientation and training of new employees.
  • Encourage teamwork, trust, respect and open communication.
  • Recognise and celebrate team achievements.
  • Participate in performance reviews and development discussions.
  • Identify training needs and support the implementation of development plans.

Financial & Operational Responsibilities

  • Support the department in achieving budgeted financial targets.
  • Monitor controllable expenses and contribute to effective cost management.
  • Assist with inventory management and asset protection.
  • Follow cash-handling and credit policies and procedures.
  • Support compliance with health, safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ensure all relevant operational and emergency procedures are followed.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a confident and energetic hospitality professional who is passionate about people, service and creating experiences.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in Food & Beverage, Room Service, Banquets or a similar hospitality environment.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is an advantage.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and guest service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • A hands-on approach and willingness to lead from the front.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • A good understanding of food, beverage and service standards.
  • The ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Good command of English; Czech is an advantage.
