Summary – Basic Function of the Role

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to support the execution of Hydratight projects across Algeria. The role will provide technical support at customer sites, coordinate field activities, monitor project progress, and ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with customer and contractual requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of field service projects at customer sites.
  • Ensure projects meet agreed scope, budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Provide technical and engineering support during field activities.
  • Liaise with clients, Design teams, and third-party contractors.
  • Identify and resolve technical and engineering issues.
  • Coordinate and prioritise field activities according to project schedules.
  • Maintain documentation for project variations and commercial claims.
  • Prepare service reports and contract-related correspondence.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure contractual requirements are met.
  • Ensure all safety and quality requirements are followed.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong mechanical and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Good project coordination and organisational skills.
  • Strong customer communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Good understanding of industrial equipment and field-service operations.
  • Strong safety awareness and attention to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites across Algeria.
  • Good English communication skills; French or Arabic is an advantage.

Education and Experience

  • Degree or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Site Engineer, or similar role.
  • Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, or heavy industry is preferred.
  • Experience working at customer sites and coordinating contractors is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, bolting, joint integrity, or mechanical equipment is desirable.
  • Experience with project documentation and service reporting is preferred.
