Maintenance Assistant

We are looking for a proactive and positive individual to join our Line Maintenance Regional team as a Maintenance Assistant based at Reykjavík Airport.

This position involves shift work on weekdays, alternating weekly between:

• Day shifts: 08:00 - 16:00
• Evening shifts: 16:00 - 24:00

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general assistance to line maintenance technicians, warehouse personnel, and hangar supervisors.
• Purchase supplies and materials for the warehouse.
• Perform aircraft cleaning duties.
• Carry out general facility maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain oversight of airport workshop facilities.
• Monitor and support safety-related matters.
• Handle cargo deliveries and other transportation errands as required.
• Perform other duties within the scope of the Maintenance Assistant role as outlined in the company's Technical Manual.

Qualifications

• Relevant education or training; a trade qualification is an advantage.
• Valid driver's licence and forklift operator certification.
• Clean criminal record.
• Ability to work independently and perform well under pressure.
• Good computer skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Interest in and experience within the aviation industry is an advantage.
• Punctual and reliable.
