Your role:
As a Software Engineer with Fire Safety Domain (Product-Oriented), you will be part of Digital Solutions for the SI Buildings Fire Safety team, contributing to the design, development, and evolution of digital fire safety solutions application for installation and commissioning.
Your day-to-day activities will include designing and developing scalable web and cross-platform mobile applications, integrating backend services and cloud-native solutions, and collaborating closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software and continuously improve the product portfolio.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web and cross-platform mobile applications using Angular and Ionic.
- Developing and integrating backend services and APIs using .NET and Go within a microservices architecture.
- Building and evolving cloud-native solutions on AWS, including Lambda, SQS, S3, and DynamoDB.
- Collaborating with Product Owners, Project Managers, and stakeholders to analyse requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Contributing to backlog refinement, prioritization, and sprint planning within a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment.
- Supporting technical and product decisions by evaluating trade-offs between scalability, performance, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Contributing to CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Acting as a key contributor and future product reference within the team.

Core Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Web\Mobile software development.
- Proven experience within the Fire Safety domain.
- Strong frontend development experience using Angular and Ionic.
- Solid backend development skills with .NET.
- Practical experience with AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot, BMAD, or similar solutions, and ability to effectively integrate them into the software delivery lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda, SQS, S3, and DynamoDB.
- Experience working in Agile environments, preferably SAFe.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software development practices.
- Organizational and prioritization skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Problem-solving attitude with a proactive approach.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and international teams.
- Product-oriented approach with the ability to balance technical excellence and business value.
- Fluent in English and Italian.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with Siemens Fire Safety solutions.
- Prior exposure to Siemens projects or business environments.
- Experience in safety-critical or regulated industries.
- Previous involvement in product-related activities such as: Requirement analysis, Backlog refinement, Prioritization activities.
- Stakeholder alignment and discussions.
- Strong interest in evolving toward a Product Owner role.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrates a product-oriented attitude beyond pure software implementation.

The pay range for this position is €45000–€55000 annually. The actual offer will be determined within this range, based on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
