YOUR ROLE

The ideal candidate will support the Catania Hub Security Manager in the overall governance of physical, logical (for convergence aspects), and organizational security at the site. In compliance with the UNI 10459:2017 standard, this role will be focused on operational support, ensuring business continuity, risk mitigation (assets, personnel, know-how), and the correct application of corporate policies and mandatory regulations. Furthermore, the candidate will assist management in threat handling and in leading the operational security team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Governance & Risk Management (UNI 10459 Compliant)
  • Security Risk Assessment: Collaborate in identifying, assessing, and constantly updating the risks (criminal, geopolitical, operational, and environmental) that could impact the site.
  • Planning and Budgeting: Assist the Site Manager in defining the security budget (CapEx/OpEx) and drafting short-, medium-, and long-term security plans.
  • Compliance: Verify the compliance of security systems and procedures with national, local laws, as well as relevant industrial and international standards.
  • Security Infrastructure Supervision: Monitor and coordinate the maintenance and effectiveness of physical security systems (CCTV, anti-intrusion systems, access control, perimeter security) across the various campus/site buildings.
  • Vendor Management (Private Security): Manage operational relationships and KPIs of private security agencies and technology vendors, ensuring high service standards (SLAs).
  • Internal Audits: Conduct periodic security audits on infrastructure and processes to identify vulnerabilities or areas for improvement.
    Crisis Management & Business Continuity
  • Emergency Management: Support the activation of crisis management and Business Continuity plans, serving as the operational point of contact in the absence of the Site Security Manager.
  • Incident Reporting: Coordinate first-level investigation activities following security breaches and draft detailed reporting for management.

REQUIREMENT EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Minimum Experience: At least 2-3 years of certified experience in the Security sector, preferably gained within high-tech sites or structured industrial environments.
  • Preferred educational qualification: bachelor's degree in Investigation and Security Sciences, or a similar field. Candidates with a five-year high school diploma and experience in the role will also be considered.
  • Technological Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of physical access control architectures, IP video surveillance, and Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) systems.
  • Languages: Good/Excellent knowledge of both Italian and English (written and spoken), required for interacting with stakeholders or international teams.
  • Audit Experience: Proven track record in supporting and successfully passing third-party or supply chain audits based on the ISO 28000 standard (Security Management Systems for the Supply Chain).
  • Automotive / High-Tech Security: Knowledge of the physical and organizational requirements necessary to pass TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) evaluations and manage the related inspection sessions.
  • Product Process Protection: Familiarity with the practical application and defense during audits of physical security requirements linked to Common Criteria (ISO/IEC 15408) certifications.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with the Italian T.U.L.P.S. (Consolidated Law on Public Safety), Privacy/GDPR regulations (in relation to video surveillance and access control), and the principles of D.Lgs. 81/08 (Health and Safety at Work).
  • UNI 10459:2017 Certification: Possession of the certification as a Security Professional (Professionista della Security), issued by an Accredia-accredited body, is a highly relevant preferential qualification.
  • Leadership and Resource Management: Ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate internal operational teams and outsourced personnel.
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making Under Pressure: Ability to maintain clarity and make timely, effective decisions during crisis or emergency contexts.
  • Strategic Vision & Financial Approach: Ability to translate security needs into business objectives, evaluating the return on investment of the adopted measures (ROI of Security).
  • Communication and Negotiation: Strong interpersonal skills to interface effectively with both corporate leadership and external Public Security authorities.

The expected salary range for this position is € 36.000– €45.000 gross annual salary (RAL), plus variable pay relevant for the role. ​

In accordance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and applicable Italian legislation, this compensation range has been determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including job responsibilities, required skills, relevant experience, qualifications, and market benchmarks. Placement within the range will depend on the candidate’s profile and demonstrated competencies. The final offer will be made in compliance with the applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL), where relevant, and our internal compensation policies.
