Overview and purpose of the role

The Photo & Videographer – Editor is responsible for filming and editing high-quality photo and video content for the company's social media platforms. This role must be able to shoot and produce a fully edited, publish-ready video within the same day, ensuring the team never misses a daily content deadline.

Key responsibilities:
  • Filming: Operate cameras, smartphones, gimbals, lighting, and audio equipment to capture high-quality photo and video content.
  • Shot Setup: Set up scenes, lighting, and framing in coordination with the Host/Scriptwriter to match the planned script and mood.
  • Same-Day Editing: Edit raw footage into polished, platform-ready videos (cuts, transitions, color grading, captions/subtitles, sound design, motion graphics) on the same day of shooting.
  • Multi-Platform Formatting: Resize, format, and export content correctly for each platform (Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Telegram) to meet each platform's specifications.
  • Photography: Capture and edit still photography for posts, ads, thumbnails, and promotional material as needed.
  • Review & Handoff: Submit finished videos to the Digital Marketing Team Leader for review and approval before publishing.
  • File & Asset Management: Maintain and organize raw footage, project files, and a backup system for all shoots.
  • Copyright Compliance: Ensure all footage and music/assets used are properly licensed or royalty-free to avoid copyright issues.
  • Equipment Care: Maintain camera, lighting, and audio equipment in good working condition and flag any equipment issues early.
Background and experience:
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Multimedia, Film Production, Photography, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in videography, photography, and video editing, ideally for social media content.
  • A portfolio or demo reel of previous photo/video work is required.
  • Proficiency with editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom for photos.
  • Working knowledge of camera equipment, lighting setups, and audio recording for video production.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to shoot locations as needed to meet same-day deadlines.
