Hayleys Fabric PLC

Hayleys Fabric PLC, a Subsidiary of Hayleys PLC, situated at Neboda, Horana, is engaged in the manufacture of fabric. This fabric is used by the leading garment makers in Sri Lanka for the manufacture of garments for world renowned retail brands. We are a company listed in the Colombo Stock Exchange and also is the pioneer in weft knit fabric manufacture in Sri Lanka.

We are looking for personnel from the Apparel/Fabric industry in the following category. Remuneration will depend on your experience and is negotiable. As the manufacturing facility is located in Horana, transport facilities are available from Colombo (Hayleys Group Head Office), Katukurunda, Panadura, Bandaragama, Horana, Lewwanduwa, Nagashandiya (Kalutara), Govinna, Bulathsinhala and Agalawatta to Factory in Neboda.

Executive – Dye Lab

We are looking for a dynamic and technically skilled professional with strong knowledge of dyeing processes, colour formulation, and laboratory operations. The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to ensuring accurate recipe preparation and consistent colour quality.

With strong technical, communication, and analytical skills, you should be capable of managing dye recipes, monitoring dye lots, maintaining accurate BOMs, and coordinating effectively with the Formulation and Dye House teams to ensure smooth operations and contribute to continuous improvement in a challenging textile manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities –

• Prepare and issue bulk and baby dye recipes accurately and on time.
• Check dyeing programs and ensure correct recipes are issued for each batch.
• Monitor dye lots and ensure shade repeatability and consistency.
• Update BOMs in SAP with the correct chemicals, process details, and current costs.
• Coordinate with Formulation and Dye House teams to ensure smooth recipe issuing without delays.

Candidate Profile –

• B.Sc. Degree from a reputed university (Local /Overseas)
• Candidates with experience in a Dye Lab, Colour Laboratory, or Dyeing Laboratory within the textile industry will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of dye formulation, colour matching, and laboratory operations.
• Good communication and coordination skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
