About the role
As Projects Delivery Lead, you will lead and develop a team of project management and coordination professionals who support initiatives across Powerco. You will ensure programme and project teams can access capable people, practical delivery frameworks and fit-for-purpose tools that can be adapted to different delivery contexts.
You will draw on experience across a range of project environments, particularly IT and digital, to strengthen delivery capability and help enable reliable delivery of outcomes.
You will partner with programme and project leaders, the PMO, Digital Design & Delivery teams, IT Operations, enabling functions and external suppliers. You will establish and continuously improve project delivery frameworks and toolkits, align practices with the PMO, and ensure change management is considered from the outset as an essential part of successful project delivery.
This is a people and practice leadership role for someone who can balance structure with flexibility, build trusted relationships and influence consistent ways of working across a complex organisation.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience leading and developing multi-disciplinary teams of project management and coordination professionals.
- A strong people leadership focus, with experience building capability at both individual and practice levels.
- Project delivery experience in complex organisational environments, particularly within digital, IT or business transformation contexts.
- Experience creating or tailoring project delivery frameworks, toolkits and playbooks, with the judgement to balance consistency, accountability and flexibility.
- A strong understanding of change management as an enabler of sustainable project outcomes, along with familiarity with programme management and continuous improvement approaches.
- Experience developing and managing effective partnerships with external suppliers of project delivery services.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
- Confidence navigating organisational dynamics, building trust and aligning teams around practical ways of working.
- A growth mindset, with openness to learning, feedback and continuous improvement.
