About the Role

As a Digital Technology & AI Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting IT operations, infrastructure and networking activities, digital transformation initiatives, and AI adoption within Siemens Oman. You will collaborate with local and regional IT teams to support end users, workplace technologies, infrastructure projects, and emerging AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

IT Operations & Infrastructure Support

• Support day-to-day IT operations and workplace services.
• Assist with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of laptops, standard Siemens applications, and client software.
• Support onboarding activities, device deployment, and workplace setup.
• Assist in monitoring and resolving basic network connectivity issues.
• Support LAN, Wi-Fi, and infrastructure-related activities under supervision.
• Assist with IT asset tracking and inventory management.
• Coordinate with service providers and vendors when required.

Digitalization & Automation

• Support digitalization initiatives and process improvement activities.
• Support workflow automation and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Create and maintain user documentation, guides, and knowledge articles.

AI Adoption & Innovation

• Support AI awareness and adoption activities across Siemens Oman.
• Help organize AI learning sessions, demonstrations, and awareness campaigns.
• Assist employees in understanding and adopting AI-powered productivity tools.

Qualifications

• Student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/Wi-Fi).
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Windows operating systems.
• Strong interest in IT infrastructure, networking, digital technologies, automation, and AI.
• Good communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Eagerness to learn and take ownership of assigned tasks.
