Introduction

The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

  • plan and supervise daily household visits and field activities, including staff assignments and participant follow-up
  • conduct accompanied visits, spot checks, and back-checks to monitor interviews, counselling practices, consent procedures, and staff conduct
  • review submitted data for completeness, accuracy, inconsistencies, and protocol deviations, and ensure timely resolution
  • monitor the quality of maternal and child anthropometry and ECD assessments, including correct techniques and equipment calibration
  • coach Data Collectors through regular feedback, field-based support, refresher training, and performance monitoring
  • track field progress and promptly report visit status, data-quality concerns, participant complaints, safeguarding issues, and operational
  • challenges to the project team
  • assist supervisors in carrying out day to day work on the field
  • perform all other duties assigned to him time-to-time by the supervisor.

Requirement

You should have:

  • BSCN / MSc / Masters in organizational psychology / Masters in sociology any other relevant degree
  • One – two years of experience in Community Research
  • ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
  • excellent team plater
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • resilience and ability to cope with work pressure
  • willing to work in the communities/field sites
  • good Computer and Report Writing Skills
