Social Media Marketing Intern

About the Role

Are you social-media obsessed and always the first to know about a new trend, sound, or format? We're looking for a Social Media Marketing Intern to support our team in creating engaging content, managing posting calendars, and helping grow our clients' online presence. You'll get hands-on exposure to real client accounts in a fast-paced agency environment, a great launchpad if you're looking to build a career in social media marketing.

What You'll Do:

• Support Social Media Strategy:

Assist in brainstorming content ideas and themes aligned with client goals (awareness, engagement, leads, traffic).

• Help Build Posting Calendars:

Support the team in drafting monthly posting plans for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

• Assist with Content Creation:

Write draft captions and basic post copy; help source or create simple visuals using tools like Canva.

• Engage with Audience:

Help monitor and respond to comments/DMs under supervision, and flag opportunities or questions for the team. Track Basic Metrics: Pull likes, shares, clicks, and follower growth data to support weekly and monthly reporting.

• Work with the Team:

Update Zoho Projects daily and coordinate with writers, designers, and project coordinators on assigned tasks.

• Learn and Stay Curious:

​ Keep an eye on platform trends and bring fresh ideas, new formats, sounds, or challenges, to the team.

Requirements

Experience:

No prior professional experience required. A personal or student portfolio (your own accounts, class projects, or freelance work) is a plus.

Skills:

Strong interest in writing and social media; familiarity with how major platforms work; basic design skills (Canva or similar) a plus.

Tools:

Comfortable with MS Office and everyday social media apps; willingness to learn Zoho Projects and analytics tools.

People Skills:

Reliable, eager to learn, and comfortable asking questions and taking feedback.

Marketing Curiosity:

Genuine interest in how social media drives brand awareness and business results.
