System Owner Engineer - Inspection Systems

• System Owner Engineer - Inspection Systems

Position Summary
The System Owner will provide technical ownership and operational support for inspection equipment used in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with primary responsibility for systems supporting vial and syringe inspection.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as System Owner and primary technical contact for assigned inspection equipment.
• Provide technical support for vial and syringe inspection systems.
• Maintain equipment in a qualified, compliant, and reliable state.
• Coordinate Engineering, Maintenance, Automation, Validation, Quality, Manufacturing, and vendor activities related to assigned systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and support root cause investigations.
• Support deviations, CAPAs, change controls, preventive maintenance, and equipment improvements.
• Review system performance and identify reliability and process improvement opportunities.
• Support qualification, requalification, commissioning, and equipment modifications.
• Maintain equipment documentation, drawings, specifications, SOPs, and system records.
• Support manufacturing personnel with equipment-related technical issues.
• Provide technical leadership and ownership of the equipment within the assigned manufacturing area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Approximately 10+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech engineering, equipment, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with pharmaceutical inspection equipment, preferably automated visual inspection systems.
• Experience with vial and/or syringe inspection operations strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP requirements, equipment qualification, troubleshooting, deviations, and change control.
• Strong hands-on technical capabilities and equipment troubleshooting skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative attitude, and ability to work effectively with Manufacturing personnel.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of equipment and coordinate activities across multiple departments.
