Join Collins Aerospace as a Systems Engineer I at the Global Engineering & Technology Center in Puerto Rico (GETC-PR), and work with the Resilient Connectivity Products Engineering division, a Mission Systems organization that helps civilian, military and government customers complete their most complex missions — whatever and wherever they may be.
In this role, you will focus mainly on Verification and Validation (V&V) testing and support multidisciplinary projects. In V&V work you will play a critical role in laboratory testing of current and new features of Collins Aerospace radio products.

This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location and is to be worked Onsite, 5 days a week. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
What YOU will do:
- Run test procedures for radio products or associated ancillary equipment to verify or validate equipment functionality.
- Create test reports, identify and document equipment issues, communicate with the design team about equipment performance and improvements.
- Create or update test procedures and documentation part of the lifecycle development of the units under test.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers for projects development, strengthening systems engineering skills.

Qualifications you must have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
- Knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements development, design, integration, verification, validation, and technical documentation
- Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance after start date.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience in testing and troubleshooting using test equipment like power supplies, Digital Multi Meters (DMM), Oscilloscopes, Radio Frequency (RF) signal generators, RF power metes, Spectrum Analyzers
- Experience creating, reviewing and updating technical documentation
- Experience creating and interpreting schematic and block diagrams, understanding components functions and interface specifications
- Experience working in projects and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of communication systems and modulation techniques
- Knowledge in electric and electronic circuits design and analysis
- Knowledge in Systems Engineering discipline and Systems Development Lifecycle
- Knowledge in project management methodologies including waterfall and Agile.
