The of Manager of Utilities will be responsible to directs and manages the overall operation of the powerhouse, chilled water, heating ventilation air conditioning (HVAC) and supply (city water, RO water, cooling tower system), electrical systems (substations) and emergency power systems, air compressors, steam, and any other critical peripheral systems to support normal production scheme. The utilities manager meets responsibilities through supervisory skilled staff and through the maintenance of close collaboration with the Environmental Health and Safety and the General Service (buildings) managers and in compliance with local, state and federal regulations. The goal is to ensure our business's accommodation is problem-free and safe so that employees can work under the best conditions by the implementation and sustaining an effective preventive maintenance program.

  • Plan and coordinate all installations and refurbishments to the system or equipment.
  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
  • Inspect buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations in coordination with the general service manager.
  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
  • Handle insurance plans and service contracts.
  • Keep financial and non-financial records.
  • Contract services for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and general utilities as per needs.
  • Ensure all mechanical and electrical operations are efficient and safe.
  • Review and approve the work performance by contractors and direct reports under supervision.
  • Knowledgeable with the operation of the steam boilers, site electricity distribution system, potable water systems, RO water system, chilled water, compressed air system, fire pumps, power generators.

What will convince us

  • Bachelor's degree in any related Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical is preferred).
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive responsible experience in the operation, management, and maintenance of utility production and supporting auxiliary equipment and system.
  • Ability to work with multiple business partners (supervisors, engineers, operations, and maintenance) and prioritize when needed.
  • Management and administrative skills (the ability to analyze, delegate, and organize) are required.
  • Able to read and understand complex electrical, mechanical and automation systems.
