Introduction

GlobalFoundries is seeking a strategic and hands-on Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) based in Taiwan to support both our Taiwan site and Singapore Manufacturing organization. As a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, you will partner with the business to drive workforce planning, talent development, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and change management initiatives.

This role requires strong knowledge of Taiwan employment regulations, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to balance strategic HR partnership with hands-on execution. You will collaborate closely with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver business-focused people solutions and foster a high-performance culture aligned with GlobalFoundries' values and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Partnership

  • Partner with leaders across Taiwan and Singapore to align people strategies with business objectives.
  • Advise managers on organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, and change management.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness through succession planning, leadership development, and performance management.
  • Build trusted relationships and influence decision-making through data-driven HR insights.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Act as a subject matter expert on Taiwan labor laws and employment practices.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, investigations, and workplace issues.
  • Partner with Legal, Employee Relations, and HR teams to ensure compliance and effective risk management.

Talent Management & Early Careers

  • Support the employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, onboarding, talent reviews, succession planning, development, and retention.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and University Relations teams to strengthen talent pipelines and drive early talent initiatives in Taiwan.
  • Support university engagement, internship, and graduate hiring programs aligned with business needs.

HR Operations & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with HR COEs to deliver integrated solutions across talent, learning, compensation, and employee relations.
  • Support organizational change, workforce transformation, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure effective execution of HR programs, processes, and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of HR experience, including HR Business Partner responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Taiwan labor laws and employment practices.
  • Experience coaching and influencing leaders across multiple organizational levels.
  • Strong business acumen, stakeholder management, and change management skills.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, semiconductor, or technology organizations.
  • Experience supporting multi-country APAC employee populations.
  • Familiarity with Singapore employment practices.
  • Experience with university relations, campus recruiting, or early talent programs.
