Wood is seeking an experienced PMC Senior QA/QC Engineer to support the delivery of a major ADNOC Offshore PMC project by ensuring that engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, commissioning, and handover activities are executed in compliance with ADNOC requirements, approved project specifications, international standards, and the Project Quality Management System.

The successful candidate will work closely with the PMC Lead QA/QC Engineer and project teams to monitor contractor quality performance, conduct quality surveillance activities, participate in audits and inspections, and ensure effective implementation of quality assurance and quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the PMC QA/QC function in implementing project quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, contractual requirements, and applicable international codes and standards.
  • Review contractor QA/QC plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality procedures, method statements, and related documentation.
  • Monitor EPC contractors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to approved quality systems and contractual obligations.
  • Conduct quality surveillance activities across engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, and commissioning phases.
  • Participate in quality audits, inspections, assessments, and surveillance programs for contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of project quality KPIs and contribute to periodic quality performance reporting.
  • Monitor and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), observations, concessions, deviations, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and verify implementation of effective corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, project controls, and HSE teams to ensure quality requirements are integrated into project execution.
  • Review vendor quality documentation, manufacturing records, inspection reports, material certificates, and test records.
  • Participate in vendor audits, pre-inspection meetings, factory acceptance tests (FATs), and inspection release activities.
  • Support quality surveillance activities at fabrication yards, construction sites, installation locations, and offshore work fronts.
  • Monitor critical quality activities including welding, NDT, coating, painting, material traceability, mechanical completion, and commissioning.
  • Verify that inspection and testing activities are performed in accordance with approved procedures and project requirements.
  • Maintain quality records and ensure proper compilation of project quality dossiers and handover documentation.
  • Identify quality risks and support development of mitigation measures.
  • Participate in project reviews, risk assessments, constructability reviews, and lessons-learned initiatives.
  • Escalate significant quality concerns impacting safety, schedule, cost, or project delivery.
  • Interface with ADNOC Offshore representatives, EPC contractors, vendors, and third-party inspection agencies on quality-related matters.
  • Promote a proactive quality culture and continuous improvement across PMC and contractor organizations.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, predominantly within the oil & gas industry.
  • Significant experience in offshore oil & gas projects, preferably with ADNOC or other major operators.
  • Experience within a PMC, EPCM, or EPC environment.
  • Previous experience as a Senior QA/QC Engineer on major offshore projects.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore engineering, fabrication, construction, installation, and commissioning quality requirements.
  • Experience monitoring QA/QC activities across large multidisciplinary projects and multiple contractors.
  • Strong understanding of international oil and gas standards, including relevant ISO, ASME, API, AWS, and NACE/AMPP requirements.
  • Experience with quality audits, inspection programs, ITP implementation, NCR management, and corrective action processes.
  • Good understanding of Project Quality Management Systems and contractor quality assurance processes.
  • Previous ADNOC project experience is highly desirable.
  • Offshore experience and relevant offshore certifications/training would be advantageous.
