Belt Splicer Apprentice

Fenner Conveyors part of the Michelin Group is the world leader in providing engineered conveyor solutions for mining and industrial applications. We offer a range of products and services from the design and supply of complete conveyor material handling solutions through to service, installation maintenance and diagnostics services.

To be considered for this role, you must be willing to commit to completing a 3-year (minimum duration) apprenticeship.

The role:

Working on key projects across the WA region, your main responsibilities will include developing skills in conveyor belt maintenance, repairs, installations, general maintenance, and replacement of conveyor components.

Mandatory Trainee Requirements:

  • Must have a strong safety focus
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old
  • Must hold a current Australian drivers licence
  • Must not be banned from any WA mine sites
  • Be willing to complete an aptitude testing as part of the Trainee recruitment process to demonstrate mechanical aptitude, sound communication and numerical skills
  • Have the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Have the ability to work with project/site operational requirements (which may see you working after hours, weekends and/or public holidays)
  • Have the ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening
  • Hold Full Australian Work rights

Optional Trainee Requirements:

  • High risk work licenses in Forklift, Elevated Work Platform, Dogging or Rigging
  • HR Drivers License
  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, or mining
  • Trade qualification
