Online Learning Facilitator

FTE: Full-time
Term of Employment: Temporary to June 23, 2027
Salary and Benefits: $20.32 - $23.78 (Uncertified) or $22.56 - $26.39 (Certified) per hour - According to education and experience.

Qualifications:

  • Work independently in an online delivery model.
  • Advanced computer skills and experience using a variety of computer software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook).
  • Must be caring, loving, compassionate, and enjoy working with children
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Grade 12 preferred but not mandatory

The suitable candidates will be able to perform the following duties:

  • Work as a collaborative team member that may include Online Teachers, Student Support Teachers, Principal or Support Staff.
  • Ensures students have necessary resources (Sask DLC materials, pintables, textbooks, technology, lab supplies, etc.) as per the Resources page in each course; record and return.
  • Orientates new students to classroom procedures and expectations, logging in, and how online learning works within their school.
  • Supervise and demonstrate knowledge and application of diverse learning supports to meet student academic needs (i.e. clarify directions, read questions/assignments, etc.); direct them to other supports when applicable (Sask DLC teacher, admin, etc.).
  • Update student pace/progress tool (i.e. calendar on whiteboard, Excel document)
  • Monitor pace/progress/success (i.e. check Moodle logs, check grades, talk with students, talk with teachers, upcoming due dates, use auto-forwards from Moodle, etc.)
