Plant Operator

On-site | Monday-Thursday, 7:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
Pay: $21.50-$22.50 CAD per hour, based on experience

Ebel Quarries, a Polycor company, is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Plant Operator to join our team in Wiarton, Ontario. This hands-on position supports daily quarry operations and is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, working outdoors, and being part of a team.

This posting is for two existing vacancies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general quarry production and daily operating activities.
• Operate or assist with quarry tools and equipment as trained and authorized.
• Handle, move and organize stone, materials, tools and supplies.
• Inspect work areas and equipment and report potential safety or maintenance concerns.
• Perform general cleanup and help maintain a safe, organized work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Assist other team members and departments as operational needs require.

Qualifications

• Previous quarry, construction, mining, manufacturing or heavy-equipment experience is an asset, but training may be provided.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in an outdoor environment.
• Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to approximately 23 kg/50 lbs.
• Comfortable working around dust, noise, machinery and changing weather conditions.
• Dependable, safety-minded and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation to the work location.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
