Incentive Compensation: Up to $80,000, with uncapped earning potential
Target Total Compensation: Up to $210,000+
Travel: Regular travel throughout the assigned Ontario territory, with occasional U.S. travel
The Opportunity
A market-leading dental technology organization is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to manage and expand relationships with some of its largest and most strategic dental and orthodontic accounts across Ontario.
In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to orthodontists, dentists, practice owners, and clinical teams. You will use a consultative sales approach to help customers modernize their practices, improve clinical workflows, adopt digital technologies, and achieve stronger business and patient outcomes.
The successful candidate will bring direct dental or orthodontic sales experience, a strong record of B2B sales performance, and the executive presence required to engage knowledgeable healthcare professionals and business owners.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Management
- Serve as the primary strategic partner for a portfolio of high-value dental and orthodontic accounts.
- Develop and execute detailed account plans based on each customer’s business goals, challenges, clinical workflows, and growth opportunities.
- Build long-term relationships with dentists, orthodontists, practice owners, treatment coordinators, clinical assistants, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead joint business planning activities with internal territory partners to align objectives, track progress, and execute growth initiatives.
- Identify workflow, service, or technology gaps and design account-specific solutions.
- Support the onboarding and development of new high-potential accounts.
Sales and Territory Growth
- Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue, product adoption, and territory performance targets.
- Develop and execute a strategic territory plan based on account potential and market opportunities.
- Grow utilization of clear aligner solutions, digital platforms, scanners, and related services across assigned accounts.
- Use data and analytics to support customer decision-making and identify opportunities for account expansion.
- Articulate financial and operational value through ROI analysis, cash flow discussions, business cases, and profitability considerations.
- Conduct product demonstrations and guide customers through complex purchasing decisions involving high-value technology and capital equipment.
Consultative Customer Engagement
- Use industry insights and consultative selling techniques to help customers modernize and grow their practices.
- Listen to and analyze customer needs, then tailor solutions to deliver a best-in-class experience.
- Educate customers on clinical and digital solutions to build confidence and support successful adoption.
- Engage customers effectively through both in-person and virtual selling environments.
- Navigate complex business and clinical conversations with credibility, professionalism, and executive presence.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with sales, clinical education, marketing, customer service, product development, and other internal teams.
- Coordinate internal resources to deliver a consistent and positive customer experience.
- Support regional meetings, customer events, training programs, and special projects.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to colleagues.
- Assist with regional onboarding and training initiatives as assigned.
- Model a collaborative, accountable, customer-focused approach across teams and departments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Minimum of six years of relevant sales or industry experience. Candidates with less than six years of experience will not be considered.
- Direct dental and/or orthodontic sales experience.
- Demonstrated success selling to dentists, orthodontists, practice owners, or other knowledgeable healthcare stakeholders.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals and KPI-driven objectives.
- Experience managing customer portfolios, developing strategic account plans, and growing existing business.
- Business and marketing knowledge, including comfort discussing ROI, cash flow, profitability, and P&L considerations.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada.
- Ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory and occasionally to the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling capital equipment, medical devices, dental scanners, imaging systems, or other high-value solutions.
- Experience managing longer, more complex sales cycles.
- Ability to build business cases and clearly articulate the financial and operational return on technology investments.
- Product demonstration experience.
- Experience using Salesforce.
- Stable career progression with demonstrated success growing strategic accounts.
Compensation and Benefits
The organization offers a highly competitive total rewards package, including:
- Base salary of $130,000 per year
- Incentive plan of up to $80,000, with uncapped earning potential

Work Environment
This is a field-based sales position involving significant customer-facing activity throughout Ontario. The successful candidate will spend most of their time meeting with dentists, orthodontists, practice owners, and strategic accounts in person.
The role offers a high degree of autonomy and flexibility in managing customer relationships, territory planning, and daily schedules. Occasional visits to a downtown Toronto office may be required, along with periodic overnight travel and quarterly travel to the United States for training or business meetings.

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
