Director, Finance Transformation

Prudential’s purpose is to be partners for every life and protectors for every future. Our purpose encourages everything we do by creating a culture in which diversity is celebrated and inclusion assured, for our people, customers, and partners. We provide a platform for our people to do their best work and make an impact to the business, and we support our people’s career ambitions. We pledge to make Prudential a place where you can Connect, Grow, and Succeed.

The Director will lead the design and rollout of Anaplan across Local Business Units (LBUs), establishing a scalable and sustainable approach to business planning, forecasting and performance management.
The role will provide end-to-end leadership across solution design, process transformation, LBU deployment, change adoption and governance. A core responsibility will be to establish the Anaplan Centre of Excellence (CoE), including its operating model, design standards, capabilities and support arrangements.

Key responsibilities

Anaplan strategy and design

  • Own the Anaplan design strategy and roadmap for Performance Management, aligned with Finance Transformation objectives and the future-state planning and forecasting model.
  • Establish design principles and guardrails that promote standardisation, scalability and reuse while accommodating legitimate LBU requirements.

LBU rollout and implementation

  • Lead the end-to-end rollout across LBUs from readiness assessment through design, build, testing, deployment and stabilization including delivery, operational and change-readiness activities.
  • Establish a repeatable deployment approach incorporating standard templates, governance checkpoints, acceptance criteria, stakeholder engagement, training and transition to business-as-usual operations.
  • Partner with LBU Finance leadership, Group teams, Technology and implementation partners to secure sponsorship, local ownership and adoption while resolving delivery risks and dependencies.

Centre of Excellence establishment

  • Design and establish the Anaplan CoE, including its mandate, operating model, governance, services and interaction with Group and LBU teams.
  • Define decision rights and accountabilities for product ownership, model management, solution design, data, controls, releases, change prioritisation and user support.
  • Build sustainable internal capability through structured learning, knowledge transfer, reusable assets and communities for product owners, model builders, administrators and super users.

Business process transformation and adoption

  • Lead the redesign and standardisation of planning, forecasting and performance-management processes, ensuring that Anaplan enables simpler and more effective ways of working rather than replicating legacy processes.
  • Drive adoption of new processes, roles, controls and behaviours through targeted stakeholder engagement, communications, training and local change networks.
  • Monitor business readiness, user adoption and realised benefits, using feedback and performance measures to address gaps and continuously improve the solution and operating model.

Team leadership

  • Lead a cross-functional team across Finance, Technology, data, change and external partners, with clear outcomes, priorities and accountabilities.

Experience and qualifications

Essential

  • Significant leadership experience in Finance Transformation, Enterprise Performance Management, business planning and forecasting.
  • Proven experience leading a large-scale Anaplan implementation or multi-entity rollout, including solution design, process transformation and business adoption.
  • Strong understanding of Anaplan architecture and implementation lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex organisational change, including stakeholder engagement, readiness assessment, communications, training and adoption.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues and build commitment to change.

Desirable

  • Anaplan certification, such as Solution Architect or Master Anaplanner, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience delivering Finance Transformation within insurance or financial services.

Candidate profile

The successful candidate will combine strong Finance process knowledge with practical Anaplan delivery, design and change-leadership expertise. They will be comfortable moving between strategic direction, senior stakeholder engagement, detailed solution decisions and hands-on management of LBU adoption.
