Operation Maintenance - Foreman, Automation PM & Install

To coordinate, supervise, and control preventive maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and improvement activities related to automation and instrumentation systems, ensuring all equipment and control systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently in accordance with PTFI standards, manufacturer recommendations, and applicable regulatory requirements.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:

  • Coordinate and implement activities under the Mine and Plant Safety Accountability Program as required for the Foreman level, ensuring all team members comply with established safety standards and procedures.
  • Supervise and coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for automation and instrumentation systems, including PLCs, SCADA systems, process control networks, field instruments, analyzers, and associated control devices.
  • Coordinate installation, commissioning, testing, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation and automation equipment to ensure optimum operational performance and reliability.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of automation and instrumentation systems and initiate corrective actions to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
  • Ensure all maintenance and installation activities are performed safely, efficiently, and according to approved procedures, work schedules, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting activities for process control, instrumentation, and automation-related issues to support continuous plant operations.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, technical guidance, and on-the-job training to technicians and subordinate personnel to enhance competency, safety awareness, and work performance.
  • Plan, monitor, and control automation and instrumentation spare parts requirements, ensuring critical components are available to support maintenance activities and reduce equipment downtime.
  • Review and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, equipment performance, operational efficiency, and maintenance effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with PTFI standards, engineering specifications, manufacturer recommendations, and regulatory requirements related to automation and instrumentation systems.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • S1 in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in automation, instrumentation, process control, or industrial maintenance environments.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory experience leading maintenance or technical personnel.
  • Experience with PLC, SCADA, DCS, industrial networks, and instrumentation systems is preferred.
  • OEM or manufacturer training in automation and instrumentation systems is an advantage.
