Senior Specialist, Security

(Fixed Term - Direct Hire)

Role Purpose:

The Sr Specialist, Security is responsible for providing expert security oversight and assurance to safeguard Company personnel, assets, facilities, information, and operations. The role supports business continuity through proactive threat monitoring, security risk management, crisis preparedness, stakeholder engagement, and the implementation of fit-for-purpose security controls in compliance with Company requirements and applicable
Indonesian regulations. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Develop and implement security management plans to support business operations, projects, and strategic activities.
• Conduct security risk, threat, and vulnerability assessments for personnel, facilities, assets, logistics, and operational activities.
• Monitor the security environment and provide timely risk intelligence, security advice, and mitigation recommendations to management.
• Oversee site security operations, including access control, visitor management, guard force activities, surveillance systems, and incident reporting.
• Manage security contractors and service providers to ensure compliance with company standards, contractual requirements, and operational needs.
• Lead or support the response to security incidents, emergencies, and investigations, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and maintain security contingency plans, emergency response procedures, and business continuity support measures.
• Build and maintain relationships with government authorities, law enforcement agencies, regulators, and other key external stakeholders.
• Prepare security reports, risk assessments, management briefings, and assurance documentation while supporting audits and compliance activities.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of security frameworks, standards, procedures, and risk management practices to strengthen organizational resilience.

Qualifications include but are not limited to the following:

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law, Political Science, International Relations, Risk Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Military Studies, Police Studies, or other relevant
  discipline.
• Master's Degree in Security Management, Risk Management, Business Administration (MBA), or related field is advantageous.

Experience:

• Minimum 8-12 years of relevant security experience, including at least 5 years in the oil & gas, energy, mining, infrastructure, or other high-risk industries.
• Demonstrated experience in security risk management, threat assessment, security operations, and incident management.
• Experience working with government authorities, law enforcement agencies, and external stakeholders.
• Experience managing security contractors and third-party service providers.
• Experience supporting projects, drilling campaigns, field development activities, logistics operations, or offshore/onshore facilities.
• Experience in crisis management, emergency response, and business continuity activities.
• Experience conducting security investigations and implementing corrective actions.

Skills:
1.Knowledge

• Strong understanding of Security Management Systems (SeMS), security governance, and security risk management principles.
• Knowledge of security risk assessment methodologies, threat intelligence, vulnerability assessment, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Good understanding of crisis management, emergency preparedness, business continuity planning, and incident management.
• Knowledge of security requirements applicable to the oil and gas industry and major capital projects.
• Understanding of Indonesian laws, regulations, and government requirements related to security, asset protection, and public order.
• Familiarity with security technologies including access control systems, CCTV, surveillance systems, alarm systems, and security monitoring tools.
• Understanding of HSSE Management Systems and risk-based management approaches.

• Security Risk Management, Protective Security, Intelligence Analysis, or Security Leadership certification.
• Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis training.
• Emergency Response and Crisis Management training.
