Technology Support Analyst
- Logitech
- Tokyo, Japan
- JPY 6,000,000 – JPY 8,000,000
Logitech is the Sweet Spot for people who want their actions to have a positive global impact while having the flexibility to do it in their own way.
The role and team:
As a Technology Support Analyst based in Tokyo, you are the face of technology for our local team and a critical connection for our global daily operations. This dual-responsibility role targets an allocation of 70% of your time to virtual support (chat, email, and ticketing) during morning APAC shifts, with the remaining 30% dedicated to regional site support delivering hands-on care for our Tokyo office. You are a trusted tech advisor who ensures digital tools help people do their best work without frustration.
In this role, we operate under our Service Promise (TechStop Manifesto) which defines how we show up for our colleagues every day:
- Prioritize employee productivity over ticketing bureaucracy by helping first and documenting in the background.
- Take full ownership of every issue from start to finish, managing any handovers to specialists behind the scenes so the employee never hits a dead end.
- Avoid rigid scripts and use friendly, jargon-free language that treats the person with empathy rather than just focusing on the device.
Your Contribution:
Be Yourself. Be Open. Stay Hungry and Humble. Collaborate. Challenge. Decide and just Do. Share our passion for Equality and the Environment. These are the behaviors and values you’ll need for success at Logitech. In this role you will:
- Virtual Support & Queue Management
- Receive and manage incoming global IT requests, resolving chat, email, and service tickets during morning shifts.
- Solve routine computer, software, and account access issues on first contact using clear knowledge articles and simple troubleshooting steps.
- Support active communication channels during critical system outages to keep global employees informed and reassured
- Local Site & Workplace Experience
- Manage local technology tasks in Tokyo, including setting up equipment, managing hardware stock, and helping colleagues in person.
- Own the local employee onboarding and offboarding experience by preparing laptops, guiding day-1 setups, and collecting equipment.
- Provide hands-on support for physical meeting rooms and hybrid collaboration tools to keep local Tokyo office meetings running smoothly.
- Partner with global engineering teams on local office technology updates, workplace infrastructure, and security checks.
- Translate technical updates into simple, clear guides that help colleagues fix everyday issues on their own.
- Our service promise
- We prioritize employee productivity over ticketing bureaucracy by helping first and documenting in the background.
- We take full ownership of every issue from start to finish so our colleagues never hit a dead end.
- We avoid rigid scripts and empower you to make the right human choice for every situation.
- We treat the person with empathy using friendly, jargon-free communication.
Key Qualifications:
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:
- Fluent or native-level written and verbal Japanese to support our local Tokyo colleagues.
- Functional written English to serve our virtual chat, email, and ticketing queues (eager learners wanting to improve on the job are welcome).
- A baseline curiosity in artificial intelligence or automation tools.
- Solid technical troubleshooting knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, computer hardware, and peripherals.
- A genuine desire to help people, combined with a patient, structured approach to solving technical problems under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with modern collaboration tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom, and Jira Service Management.
- Interest in participating in global initiatives to bring AI and automation tools into daily support processes.
- Basic spoken Chinese (Mandarin) skills to help collaborate with regional AP support teams.
What you bring
- One to two years of experience in customer service, tech support, or office technology operations.
- A college degree or diploma in IT, computer science, or equivalent hands-on experience with technology.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position based in our Tokyo office requiring an early morning shift schedule to cover virtual support, transitioning into local on-site support as local demand requires. The role targets a split of 70% morning virtual queue coverage and 30% local office support.
