Internship Program 2027

The position will be based in Cuautitlán - México.

Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.

What you will do

As a Processing Engineering Intern, you will:

  • Enhance engineering process tools by supporting the finalization, optimization, and documentation of the project-hours calculation tool.

  • Standardize project knowledge through the organization of calculation methodologies, consolidation of engineering templates, and creation of structured documentation based on recent project learnings.

  • Develop and maintain process documentation by creating quick-reference guides, best practices, and standardized resources for the Mexico and C&C Project Center.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives across projects.

  • Bachelor Studies in progress: Chemical, Process, Mechanical, or Food Engineering or relevant fields.

  • Desirable Skills / Knowledge:

    • Microsoft Office, AutoCAD
    • Previous internships in engineering will be a plus.
    • Proactive, disciplined and self-organized.
    • English Advanced – Can communicate fluently, with strong skills in both written and spoken English.

As an Upgrades Project Engineering Intern, you will:

  • Use internally developed toolboxes to do basic and middle size engineering calculations to determine/validate motors, pumps, valves and piping sizes related to liquid food processing machines, to be able to quote projects accurately. Visits to selected customers are expected to gain deeper knowledge.

  • Validation and Creation of structured documentation and engineering templates to deliver to customers, based on previous project learnings.

  • Develop and maintain projects documentation by creating quick-reference guides, best practices, and standardized templates for Processing Upgrades Mexico.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives across projects.

  • Bachelor Studies in progress: Chemical, Process, Mechanical, or Food Engineering or relevant fields.

  • Desirable Skills / Knowledge:

    • Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Basic knowledge of Power BI. SAP knowledge is a plus.
    • Interest in Artificial Intelligence and automation tools is a strong advantage.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
    • English Intermediate – Can hold basic conversations and has strong reading and writing skills.

We believe you have

  • Studies in progress in one of the specialties recommended for the position selected.
  • Graduation expected: December 2027 or afterwards.
  • Availability to work and commute to our site 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 2 pm, during the full internship program.
  • Availability for internship: January 18 to December 13, 2027
