Procurement Specialist – Electrical

Role Purpose:

To manage end-to-end sourcing, procurement, and delivery of specific long-lead equipment categories (Electrical, MVAC, or ELV). This owner-side role ensures that equipment is specified correctly, ordered on time, tracked globally, and delivered to meet construction milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead sourcing activities for assigned equipment category (e.g., UPS, transformers, MV/LV switchgear, gensets, chillers, cooling towers, CRAH units, CDUs, ELV systems).

• Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs, evaluate technical and commercial proposals, and recommend vendor selection.

• Create purchase orders (POs) in SAP and manage PO lifecycle – from issuance to delivery, including change orders.

• Coordinate with logistics team to ensure on-time delivery and customs clearance for international shipments.

• Work with engineering to validate technical specifications and BOMs.

• Track supplier manufacturing progress and conduct regular progress calls.

• Resolve quality or delivery issues with suppliers.

• Maintain category intelligence: market pricing, lead times, emerging technologies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or relevant engineering degree.

• 5+ years in procurement or supply chain for electrical/mechanical equipment (owner or EPC side).

• SAP experience (PO creation and tracking) is mandatory.

• Understanding of intercoms (Incoterms), global logistics, and customs documentation.

• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.

• Mandarin speaking is a plus for supplier communication.
