About the Role | Mō te Tūranga

As a Pre-Sales & Training Consultant, you'll play a key role in helping customers get the best from Canon's Business Imaging solutions. Working across pre-sales consulting, solution design, demonstrations, implementation support and training, you'll partner closely with Sales, Service, Marketing and customers to deliver practical solutions that drive successful business outcomes.

Reporting to the National Manager Technical Service, this Auckland-based role offers a unique mix of customer engagement, technical consulting and training delivery. You'll support customers and business partners throughout New Zealand, partner with sales and service teams to design solutions, deliver training and help organisations maximise the value of Canon's technology and services.

As this is a national support role, regular travel throughout New Zealand is anticipated along with some opportunities to travel to Australia for product training, updates and events.

Scope of the role includes:

    • Provide pre-sales technical consulting and solution expertise to sales teams and customers
    • Deliver product demonstrations, solution presentations and workflow consulting
    • Design and scope customer solutions, including site assessments and implementation planning
    • Deliver customer, partner and employee training across New Zealand
    • Develop training materials, guides and supporting documentation
    • Support post-sales solution adoption and ongoing customer success
    • Build strong relationships with customers, business partners and internal stakeholders
    • Assist with complex projects, solution delivery and risk management activities
    • Maintain expertise across Canon hardware, software and workflow technologies
    • Identify opportunities to expand customer utilisation of Canon products and services

You're someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with customer interaction. You can simplify complex concepts, build credibility with stakeholders and confidently present solutions, whether you're running a product demonstration, delivering training or consulting on a customer's workflow needs. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy partnering with sales teams, customers and technical specialists to achieve the best outcome. Organised, adaptable and proactive, you're comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining a strong focus on customer experience.

Most importantly, you're passionate about technology, continuous learning and helping customers realise value from the solutions they invest in.

Key skills and experience include:

    • Proven experience with print, document management or workflow solutions
    • Strong understanding of colour management, workflow software and print technologies
    • Experience with industry RIP platforms such as Fiery or PRISMA
    • Advanced presentation, facilitation and training delivery skills
    • Strong solution design, problem-solving and technical consulting capability
    • Ability to build trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience coaching, mentoring or sharing technical knowledge with others
    • Strong organisational and time management skills
    • Current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout New Zealand
