Junior Resident Engineer

Inbox Business Technologies is seeking a motivated and technically inclined Junior Resident Engineer to join our team and support telecom deployment and operations. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of Linux, virtualization, and networking, along with working knowledge of SQL and Bash scripting. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and enthusiastic about developing hands-on technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day telecom deployment and operations activities.
• Assist with the installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of systems and infrastructure.
• Work with Linux-based environments and support routine system administration activities.
• Assist with virtualization environments and related operational tasks.
• Support basic network configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Use SQL for database queries and operational requirements.
• Develop and maintain Bash scripts to support routine operational tasks.
• Assist senior engineers in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, deployment records, and operational updates.
• Coordinate with team members and relevant stakeholders to ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
• Follow established technical procedures, operational standards, and organizational policies.
• Continuously develop technical knowledge across Linux, virtualization, networking, SQL, Bash, and telecom environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BSc) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in telecom deployment, operations, or a related technical environment.
• Basic knowledge of Linux.
• Basic understanding of virtualization technologies.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts and fundamentals.
• Intermediate knowledge of SQL.
• Intermediate knowledge of Bash scripting.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong willingness to learn and implement new concepts.
• Ability and enthusiasm for independent and continuous learning.
• Candidates must be based in Islamabad or willing to relocate to Islamabad.

Preferred Skills

• Previous exposure to telecom deployment and operations is preferred.
• Hands-on exposure to Linux, virtualization, networking, SQL, or Bash through professional experience, internships, or technical projects is an advantage.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP (or equivalent), or virtualization certifications are an added advantage but are not mandatory.
