Wiring Operator

Job Context:

The position will be to work direct to final assembly line production area to help wire units, trouble shoot minor issues and make improvements.

Key Accountabilities:

These will include:

  • Locate all parts necessary for assembly, Looms and assembles product in an efficient manner to achieve highest quality as per ISO standard.
  • Immediate focus of wiring is on controls assembled, and controls quality.
  • Identify quality problems or improvement opportunities
  • Read blueprints, electrical schematics, and bill of materials information. (Team Centre)
  • Use necessary tools and equipment to assemble products, including but not limited to precision measuring instruments.
  • Perform some material handling functions.
  • Perform quality inspection, checking tolerances and specifications, on parts.
  • Follow and adhere to all safety, quality and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

  • High School or Diploma is required.
  • Male/Female 21 years old up.
  • The ability to interpret and use electrical schematics drawings is required
  • Electrical background and/or experience in electrical assembly.
  • Familiarity with and utilization of all hand tools including wrenches, sockets, hammers, tape measures, crimpers, cutters, steel banding, and power tools such as impact guns, and pneumatic rivet guns.
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, blueprints, drawings, etc.
  • 5S and basic problem solving.

  • Inspecting assembled products for any faults or defects.
  • Loading product pieces slated for assembly onto the line and packing assembled products into boxes for storage.
  • Maintaining a Birth Certificate of product and mechanical repairs or rework adjustments.
  • Reporting incidents, faulty operations, or product imperfections on the assembly line to management.
  • Perform some material handling functions.
  • Perform quality inspection, checking tolerances and specifications, on parts.
  • Follow and adhere to all safety, quality and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.
