Greets and assists visitors in person or over the telephone. Provides general office support.

Responsibilities

  1. Receives, greets and directs visitors to appropriate person or office.
  2. Answers telephones, providing assistance and directing customers to the correct person or office.
  3. Processes and distributes mail and packages.
  4. Assists with departmental seminars and events.
  5. Processes room reservation requests.
  6. Answers questions about the department and associated activities.
  7. Assists with word processing, data entry, internet searches, and document storage.
  8. Maintains office supply inventory needs.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. One year full-time customer service experience or equivalency, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.
