Job Description
As a Security Officer Act 235 Qualified Patrol Operations in Malvern, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $35.00 / Hour
- 21+ Years of Age (C101) All applicants must be at least 21 years old at the time of application. This requirement is in compliance with [insert relevant laws or regulations].
- Act 235 Qualification (Pennsylvania Only) (C134) Candidates applying for positions in Pennsylvania must possess a valid Act 235 certification. This certification is necessary for individuals who will be carrying a firearm in the course of their employment.
- 2+ Years' Law Enforcement/Military Police/Corrections Experience (C140) Applicants must have a minimum of two years of experience in law enforcement, military police, or corrections. This experience is essential to ensure that candidates have the necessary skills and background to perform effectively in their roles.
- Access Control/Badge Experience (B201) Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204) Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes the ability to navigate software applications, manage emails, and utilize digital communication tools effectively.
- Customer Service Experience (B219) Candidates should have a background in customer service, showcasing their ability to interact positively with clients and resolve issues efficiently. Relevant experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, maintaining a professional and courteous presence.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Document patrols, observations, incidents, and unusual activity accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
- Possess an Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
