Residential Clinician

Gilead Community Services is seeking a caring and recovery-oriented Clinician (Psychotherapist) to join our multi-disciplinary residential program staff.
About the position:
The Residential Clinician for Gilead’s Old Saybrook area adolescent residential program works 40 hours, Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM (some evening and weekend hours required) providing individual, group and family counseling services by leading the clinical services in a program serving adolescents with major mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders. The individual in this role carries out all phases of clinical services including intake, engagement, assessment, treatment planning, counseling, referral, and discharge.
Minimum Requirements:
• Master’s Degree required in human services, License required (LCSW, LMFT or LPC) within 18 months of hire (Associate License required upon hire)
• Experience working with adolescents and individuals with psychiatric issues
• Five years of clinical experience
• Computer proficient and able to use an EMR to maintain timely documentation
• Must maintain and provide proof of valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing
• Reliable use of personal vehicle as needed

This is a non-union position and pays $68,000 - $85,500 per year dependent on level of experience, with potential to earn $5,000 additional incentive pay.
Responsibilities:
• Providing direct services (clinical assessment, crisis intervention, status evaluations) in a variety of modalities to adolescents
• Providing individual, family and group psychotherapy for adolescents within the DCF program using a bio-psychosocial model of healthcare delivery
• Establishing and maintaining collateral relationships important for the well-being of clients (families, landlords, police, legal system, employers, other agencies and treatment providers and any other community supports)
• Formulating and completing detailed client psychosocial assessments including mental status and diagnosis; maintaining complete and accurate client records, statistics, treatment plans, progress notes, paperwork, and other pertinent written data in a timely manner
• Providing Recovery, Trauma, and Gender informed treatment to residents and providing teaching and training to staff and family in these areas
• Participating in the intake and referral, continued service, and discharge processes; including phone screens, assessments.
• Working collaboratively with the Senior Director, Director and Manager to maintain efficient work flow throughout the program by evaluating and standardizing procedures, initiating change concepts where necessary and working to find for more efficient ways to conduct business and improve client relations
