Are you an experienced food safety professional looking for flexible audit work?

We are seeking self-employed Retail Food Safety Auditors to join our contractor network in the Republic of Ireland. Due to increasing client demand, we are looking for auditors based in or able to cover Cork, Kerry, Galway, Mayo and Donegal.

This is an excellent opportunity for qualified and experienced food safety professionals seeking flexible assignments while maintaining their independence as a contractor.

About the Role

As a Retail Food Safety Auditor, you will conduct audits within retail food operations against established food safety standards and client requirements. You will assess compliance, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide professional audit reports in accordance with programme requirements.

Assignments will be allocated based on location, availability, qualifications, and business demand.

Training will be provided on the specific audit programme and methodology.

You Will Need

• A minimum of a relevant 3rd Level Qualification (Level 6 to Level 10 within the National Framework of Qualifications).
• Relevant disciplines include:
  • Food Science
  • Food Technology
  • Environmental Health
  • Biological Sciences
  • Other related food or science-based qualifications
• A minimum of 3 years' experience conducting retail food safety audits.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• The ability to work independently and professionally with client sites.
• A full driving licence and willingness to travel within your coverage area.
