We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to join our finance team.

This position is ideal for candidates with a solid foundation in general accounting who are eager to deepen their technical expertise and grow within a global organization.

In this position, you will be responsible for the accounting activities for a selection of NOV Ledgers. You will be working to tight deadlines and will maintain appropriate financial controls in line with NOV and SOX requirements. During the month you will communicate with colleagues and local controllers to book accruals, allocations, maintain asset registers, prepare reconciliations and resolve differences. You will assist in implementing and adhering to processes that will ensure the NOV compliance with all relevant governmental and company standards and regulations (GAAP, SOX, etc.)

What You'll Be Doing

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries, accruals, and allocations.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues proactively.
  • Prepare financial reports and provide insights to support business performance.
  • Partner with local controllers, managers, and finance teams across multiple regions.
  • Support fixed asset accounting, including capital expenditure tracking, disposals, and depreciation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOX controls, and applicable accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews.
  • Contribute to process improvements, documentation, and continuous enhancement of accounting procedures.
  • Support the implementation and adoption of new systems and ways of working.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent accounting qualification gained through a professional accounting course.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in General Ledger (GL) or Record-to-Report (RTR) accounting.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Strong Excel skills and overall computer literacy.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work effectively during month-end deadlines.

Nice to Have

  • Progress toward ACCA, CIMA, or similar professional qualifications.
  • Experience working with OMEGA or other modern ERP platforms.
  • Experience supporting multiple legal entities or international operations.
