We are seeking an

Application Architect

to define,

maintain

, and govern the Application Architecture across enterprise and banking environments. The role will focus on developing current-state and target-state application landscapes, defining application and integration standards, and ensuring application designs align with approved Enterprise Architecture. The Application Architect will work closely with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, Security, Data, Infrastructure, and development teams to support application modernization, rationalization, integration, and transformation initiatives.

• Define and

  maintain

  the Application Architecture and application landscape.

• Develop and

  maintain

  current-state and target-state application architectures

• Define

  application

  architecture principles, standards, and guidelines.

• Design application components and define their relationships and dependencies.

• Define and

  maintain

  integration and API architecture.

• Assess application dependencies, impacts, and technology risks.

• Identify

  gaps between current-state and target-state application architecture.

• Ensure application designs

  comply with

  approved Enterprise Architecture standards.

• Review and approve application architecture and solution designs.

• Support

  application

  modernization, rationalization, and transformation initiatives.

• Ensure application architecture supports business capabilities and requirements.

• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, Security, Data, Infrastructure, and development teams.

• Maintain the

  application

  repository, architecture models, and related documentation.

• Monitor compliance with approved application architecture standards and

  principles

Requirements

• T

  O BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU NEED

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science

  , Information Technology, Software Engineering, or

  a related

  field.

• 7+ years of experience in Application Architecture, Solution Architecture, Software Architecture, or related roles.

• Experience in banking or financial services is preferred.

• Experience working in a SAMA-regulated environment is an advantage.

• Strong experience in application architecture

  and application

  landscape design.

• Strong understanding of API, integration, and distributed application architectures.

• Experience with

  application

  modernization, rationalization, and transformation.

• Good understanding of Enterprise Architecture principles and frameworks.

• Experience with architecture governance, design reviews, and technology standards.

• Strong understanding of application dependencies, interfaces, and integration patterns.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architecture, or similar certification is

  preferred.
