Personal Care Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team in Newport, MI. In this role, you will provide essential support to clients, helping them with daily activities to improve their quality of life and promote independence. You will work closely with clients and their families to ensure personalized and respectful care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Help clients with mobility and transferring from beds, chairs, or wheelchairs.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and errands.
• Monitor clients’ health and report any changes or concerns to supervisors or medical personnel.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with the care team.

Requirements

• Previous experience in personal care or a similar role is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of clients.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.
• Ability to pass background checks.
