Could you be the full-time Senior Business Development Manager in Cairo we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your strategic and relationship management expertise in a dynamic and innovative field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and forward-thinking team of professionals.

You'll play a critical role in shaping Alstom’s business strategy and driving sustainable growth by fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders and identifying new opportunities. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across the business (including tendering, marketing, and project management), lead strategic partnerships, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of developing and managing relationships with customers, government authorities, and industry partners, but also ensuring customer needs are at the heart of our business development strategies.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Developing and managing strategic relationships with customers, government authorities, funding agencies, consultants, and industry partners.
  • Identifying and cultivating new business opportunities through proactive stakeholder engagement and market intelligence.
  • Understanding customer needs and ensuring they are reflected in our business strategies.
  • Influencing project development and procurement strategies through early customer engagement.
  • Building and maintaining strategic partnerships to enhance competitiveness and market positioning.
  • Monitoring industry developments and identifying emerging opportunities and risks.
  • Championing a customer-centric culture across the organization.
  • Defining and implementing business development strategies aligned with regional business plans.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • A degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15 to 20 years of professional experience, ideally in a project-based environment.
  • Experience working closely with governmental entities and public sector stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Good knowledge of public laws and regulations (e.g., civil law, Law No. 182 of 2018).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt information to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Self-starting capability and ability to work autonomously.

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines.
  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling.
  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues.
  • Contribute to innovative projects that shape the future of mobility.
  • Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment.

  • Progress towards senior leadership roles or specialized career paths.
  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
