Safety Engineer

Position Summary

1. Establish an accident-free workplace through a comprehensive safety management (risk assessments, site inspection, training and etc.).
2. Prevent accidents by complying with laws/company regulations and establish/implement safety awareness.
3. Establish, implement and monitor goals to reduce safety accidents.
4. The obligation to secure safety and health under the Act on the Punishment of Severe Disasters shall be fulfilled.

Role and Responsibilities

1. [Safety management] Plan and carry out the implementation of laws and regulations(Occupational Safety and Health Act), work safety management, protection equipment, risk assessment, industrial accident management, site inspection, risky machine status management, safety certification and protection measures.

2. [Safety culture] Plan and carry out the establishment of safety culture through activities such as raising employee's safety awareness(campaigns, contests, newsletter and etc.), and environmental safety training(legal education, raising safety consciousness and etc.).

3. [Process Safety Management] Plan and carry out Process Safety Management(PSM)-based environmental safety work to be settled and implemented, and accident prevention activities through change point management and safety certification.

4. [Partner safety management] Plan and carry out the cooperation with partner companies to improve their safety level and prevent accidents in the site.

5. [Critical Disaster Penalty Act] Check the changes in laws and regulations and the obligation to secure safety and health, settle them in the field, and plan/perform accident prevention activities.

• Learns to use professional concepts. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues

• Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures

• Normally receives detailed instructions on all work

• Typical entry point for university graduates
