Electrical Engineer, Relay Protection

Electrical - Relay Protection System Engineer is a critical position responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of project electrical systems, including motor protection, switchgear, MCC, and E-House facilities, while performing testing, troubleshooting, verification, and energization activities for power and control systems supporting equipment such as crushers, conveyors, pumps, and compressors.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:

1. Direct & review set up program, testing, review, energize and function test of relay protection system

2. Perform calibration and test electrical and instrumentation devices before and after installation to ensure that the devices work properly and correctly

3. Perform pretest activities in the middle of ongoing project, in order to ensure within assigned functional scope is operable according to field condition and safety issues

4. Perform troubleshooting if there is a damage equipment/installation or any difference between the design and condition of the field, in order to meet safety standard

5. Perform commissioning of equipment and system, in advance of start up of actual testing and documented the result as well within assigned functional scope to support handover package Perform as built drawing and update

6. Ensure all technical electrical and instrumentation start up and commissioning on the track and achieve company goals and ensure all engineers do the best practice and applied SOP and supervise all aspect for engineering administration

Minimum Education and Experience

S1 Degree in Electrical or Mechanical with minimum 5 years working experience in heavy industrial and mining industry.

Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Characters)

• Familiar with related equipment (relay protection and switchgear high voltage for Electrical, rotating equipment for Mechanical/Piping).
• Knowledge of mining construction.
• Project Management.
