Provide and perform timely and accurate surveying and mapping activities to all Mining Engineering Geology and Exploration related user departments and perform special project work as required to ensure the activities support the achievement of GBC Projects goals and objectives.
Job Responsibility:
Provide daily/weekly work plans to subordinates in order to ensure work assignments are based on correct priority comply with engineering standards and proceed in an effective way.
Direct control and monitor daily work and projects assigned aspects to ensure availability and utilization of proper methods manpower equipment and systems to provide services at Mill and Underground area as required.
Develop Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in relevant section as guideline for subordinate performing their duties in order to provide input for survey application developer for applicable SOP.
Review section s product and provide accurate and updated data or information on all handled project to chief surveyor QA/QC and Survey Application Development and support superior in reporting to higher level consumption or project owner consist of daily weekly and monthly progress to ensure potential constraints are identified and find solution as quick as possible.
Coordinate with other relevant parties (i.e. Mill Technical Service UG Pre-Production UG Construction UG Maintenance UG Engineering UG Geotech and Ore Flow department) to ensure all work preparation to support the requests can be done on time.
Evaluate the current survey methods software and technology in order to identify gap between survey technology and work practice at field and inform survey application developer for continuous improvement in relevant section.
Analyze review and evaluate project progress having a strong in- field presence being proactive in detecting opportunities and/or risks to the plans.
Coordinate with GBC Engineering team to develop planning and scheduling of short-term activities based on controlling the Key Performance Indicator of each project to optimize the efficiency of manpower and Company s resources.
Coordinate with internal departments (e.g. Operational team. as well as other engineering departments) on a routine basis through daily weekly and achievement meetings in order to ensure expansion operation comply with the determined plan.
Provide constructive feedback and advice to Operations on safety health and industrial hygiene performance looking after continuous improvements in quality of design and operations and to meet with National and PTFI standard.
Develop coach and motivate subordinate to enhance their skills knowledge and capability through counseling discipline and training development.
Guide monitor and control department safety programs for subordinates: tracking of departmental safety accountabilities regular safety inspections identifying new safety approaches etc. in order to achieve and ensure that all safety accountabilities are met.
Minimum Education & Experience
S1 degree in Geodesy with at least 2 years' experience in related field or equivalent of education and experience.
Core Competencies (Knowledge Skills & Characters)
- A working knowledge of Underground Operations activities capabilities and structure. With regards surveying and calculations.
- Good knowledge of Vulcan MS Office suite.
