Job Summary
The Assistant Process Engineer role responsible to support the process engineering team manufacturing operations during assigned shifts by ensuring process stability, resolving technical issues, improving yield and productivity, maintaining product quality and equipment performance. This role acts as the key engineering support for the production line, working closely with operators, technicians, maintenance, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure safe, efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor process performance and production indicators
- Collect, organize, and analyze process data to support engineering decisions
- Support troubleshooting of process issues, defects, and equipment deviations
- Assist in identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Participate in process improvement and optimization activities
- Support validation, qualification, and change implementation activities
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve technical issues
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and standard operating procedures
- Support shift handovers and communicate open issues to the engineering team
- Perform additional engineering tasks as assigned by supervisors or senior engineers
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a cleanroom manufacturing or process engineering environment.
- Troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a shift-based production environment.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, SPC, and root cause analysis.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
