SUMMARY

Assist engineers with multiple tasks involving the power and controls engineering functions at Oshkosh AeroTech in Roy, UT.

YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned:

  • Prepare vehicle or equipment component layouts or schematics using CAD software i.e., Siemens NX.
  • Select parts or components for quality conscious design, i.e., performance, weight, cost, reliability, and ease of manufacturing and serviceability.
  • Follow projects on the assembly floor for prototype, pilot, or production build and provide technical assistance. Consult with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to find solutions to problems.
  • Perform or assist in the testing of complete vehicles or vehicle components.
  • Design, model, and test new components in the power conversion, controls or software that integrate with a vehicle or equipment.
  • Update bill of materials to reflect product changes.
  • Prototype, test, deploy, and verify code changes to equipment.
  • All other duties or projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or other related engineering field for entire duration of internship.
  • Basic electrical and software troubleshooting skills.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in extracurricular activities outside academic requirements.
  • Previous internship experience or work-related experience.
  • Experience using Siemens NX, Codesys, C/C++, TwinCat, Copia, is a plus.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, panel layout modelling, and/or conduit/wire routing in 3D environment
  • Fundamental knowledge of power conversion is desirable
  • Previous experience or heightened interest in Boarding Bridges, Pre-Conditioned Air, Ground Power for commercial and military applications.

Pay Range:

$18.00 - $37.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
