About the Role

Reporting to the Pre-Contracts Manager, you'll take ownership of complex tenders from initial review through to submission and project handover.

You'll work closely with operational leaders, clients, suppliers and subcontractors to develop winning strategies and commercially sound estimates that position BMD for continued success.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and submission of major civil infrastructure tenders
  • Develop detailed cost estimates, pricing strategies and risk assessments
  • Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations Analyse project risks, opportunities and market conditions
  • Coordinate tender meetings, site inspections and stakeholder engagement
  • Support contract negotiations and successful project handovers
  • Mentor and develop junior estimators within the team
  • Foster strong relationships across clients, consultants and delivery teams

About you:

We're interested in speaking with experienced estimators who have delivered successful tenders within the civil infrastructure sector.

What you’ll bring:

  • 8+ years estimating experience within civil construction
  • Experience across transport, defence, resources or major infrastructure projects
  • Strong capability in cost planning, risk assessment and commercial analysis
  • Exposure to bridge, structural concrete of FRP (form, reinforcement and pour) works highly regarded
  • Experience using Expert Estimation or similar estimating software
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to mentor others
