What is expected?
We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded individual to lead our EP CEA procurement function. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that align with our segment's goals and objectives, ensuring cost-effective and efficient procurement processes, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers.
What are my responsibilities?
- Strategic Procurement Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies that support the segment's long-term goals and financial objectives.
- Cost Management: Lead the identification and implementation of productivity initiatives, negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, and manage the procurement budget.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring high levels of service, quality, and delivery performance.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, including supply chain disruptions, compliance issues, and market volatility.
- Contract Management: Oversee the development, negotiation, and execution of contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Procurement Operations: Streamline procurement processes, implement best practices, and leverage technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the procurement function and regularly report on performance against these metrics to drive productivity.
- Compliance and Ethics: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, suppliers, and legal teams, to align procurement activities with business needs.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Bachelor's and above degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and executing strategic procurement plans.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage complex contracts.
- Experience with procurement systems and technologies.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Strong ownership & lead by example. Demonstrate working attitude of business focus, pro-active, “can do”, collaboration with colleagues.
- High level of integrity and commitment to ethical business practices.
- Proficient Chinese & English skills in oral and written.
