The Role

The Student Representative, China will represent Minerva University in school visits and events across China with the goal of increasing brand awareness and outreach to prospective students. The student representative will reach out to and engage with counselors in competitive local high schools to schedule and run school visits, workshops or presentations with students, mainly juniors and seniors. The goal will be to establish and grow local school and counselor network relationships, provide support in yield efforts and create a better understanding and appreciation for Minerva’s undergraduate student experience.

The student representative must be based in China and available to work up to (but not necessarily) the specified amount of hours between October 1, 2026 and June 30, 2027. Hours worked will be dependent on what opportunities exist in the country the student representative will be representing.

This is a part time contract position, not to exceed a total of number hours without prior approval from manager.

Responsibilities

  • I dentify and reach out to local high schools across China that educate students who would be competitive candidates for admission at Minerva University
  • Schedule and conduct school visits, information sessions or workshops with prospective students - juniors and seniors
  • Encourage and inspire students to apply
  • Collaborate with the regional outreach lead to support local enrollment/yield initiatives
  • Handover counselor relationships to regional outreach director via email and WeChat introduction and spreadsheet compilation
  • Increase the number of applications and admitted students from the country of responsibility - specific goals will be shared by the regional leads at the start of the project.

Implement a reporting mechanism to track

  • Number of school visits
  • Number of students connected with
  • Number of applicants in your country generated during your work
  • Number of applicants who complete entire admissions process during your work

Requirements

  • Flexible to the hours required for the role between July 1, 2026 and June 30, 2027.
  • Strong presenter and excited to share Minerva experience with prospective students, parents and school officials
  • Self-starter, strong sense of personal accountability, integrity and follow through
  • Ability to move work forward in a remote environment and with a high degree of independence and ownership.

Ambassadors will report to the Regional Enrollment lead of their respective countries.

Pay rate

The hourly rate for the positions will be $24.
