  • Pune, India
  • INR 2,000,000 – INR 3,500,000

Position Overview

The Data Quality Developer will play a hands-on technical role in implementing and maintaining data quality controls, monitoring frameworks, and integration solutions across our enterprise MDM ecosystem. This position requires a strong technical background combined with excellent communication skills to work effectively with business stakeholders across the globe.

Working closely with the Data Governance Council Lead, this role will be responsible for configuring data quality platforms, implementing validation rules and workflows, developing dashboards and reports, and remediating data quality incidents across customer, supplier, contact, and item domains.

Two Data Quality Developers will be hired — one focused primarily on the Ataccama platform (configuration, rules, profiling, monitoring) and the other focused on data quality operations outside of Ataccama (cross-system reconciliation, integrations, dashboards, remediation). Both developers serve as each other's backup and are expected to be cross-trained across all responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities Data Quality Platform Configuration & Customization

  • Configure and customize data quality platforms (primarily Ataccama) to ensure optimal user experience for data management
  • Implement data quality rules, validation logic, and automated controls within the DQ platform
  • Develop and maintain workflows to manage reference data across systems
  • Build monitoring capabilities for operational processes and data quality metrics
  • Perform data profiling and analysis using platform-native tools to identify data quality issues and patterns
  • Configure DQ platform integrations with MDM, Snowflake, and enterprise source systems

Data Quality Analysis & Remediation

  • Run reports across systems to calculate data quality dimensions (completeness, accuracy, consistency, timeliness, uniqueness)
  • Execute data reconciliation reports across multiple systems (MDM, ERP, CRM, data lake)
  • Remediate data quality incidents in a timely manner — triage, investigate root cause, and resolve
  • Identify recurring incidents and implement permanent fixes to resolve root cause issues
  • Manage incident resolution using ServiceNow to meet SLAs
  • Collaborate with MDM developers and integration developers to trace data quality issues across system boundaries
  • Analyze logs and data flows to isolate where quality degradation occurs in the pipeline

Dashboard & Reporting Development

  • Implement and maintain data quality dashboards using Power BI
  • Create business-friendly visualizations of data quality findings and trends
  • Develop reports to track quality metrics across all domains (customer, supplier, contact, item)
  • Build monitoring reports for operational processes and controls
  • Design health scoring dashboards that provide at-a-glance quality status for each domain

Data Integration & Synchronization

  • Implement data integrations to synchronize data across systems for quality monitoring and reconciliation
  • Develop ETL processes to support data quality and reconciliation needs (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, or platform-native connectors)
  • Work hands-on with MDM, Snowflake, and related systems to implement quality controls
  • Ensure data consistency and accuracy across the enterprise data landscape
  • Build automated data validation checks within integration pipelines

Stakeholder Collaboration & Requirements Gathering

  • Participate in requirements gathering sessions with business users
  • Elicit and document data quality requirements from stakeholders
  • Present data quality findings in a business-friendly format
  • Conduct meetings with large audiences independently
  • Work effectively with business users across multiple regions and time zones

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to enhance data quality processes and controls
  • Contribute to the evolution of data quality maturity in the organization
  • Support the long-term data quality roadmap
  • Stay current with data quality best practices and emerging technologies

Required Qualifications Experience

  • 8+ years of total experience in data quality, data development, or related fields, preferably in an MDM and data governance environment
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with at least one data quality platform (e.g., Ataccama, Informatica Data Quality, Talend Data Quality, or similar)
  • 5+ years advanced SQL proficiency for data analysis, profiling, quality checks, and reconciliation (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake)
  • 4+ years ETL development experience for data integration and transformation (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, Talend, or platform-native connectors)
  • 3+ years experience building reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar visualization tools
  • 3+ years experience with data profiling tools and techniques for root cause analysis
  • 3+ years experience with data reconciliation across multiple systems (MDM, ERP, CRM, data lake)
  • 2+ years experience with incident management and SLA-driven resolution using ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
  • Experience working with business stakeholders across multiple regions and time zones
  • Proven track record of implementing data quality solutions and controls

Communication & Collaboration

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language
  • Experience presenting to diverse audiences including business stakeholders and leadership
  • Proven ability to conduct meetings with large audiences independently
  • Strong requirements elicitation and documentation skills
  • Comfortable working across global teams and time zones

Security & Compliance
