DevOps Engineer

Deployment, Platform, and Automation Support

• Deploy and support HPCWorks applications across Dev, QA, staging, lab, and customer-like

environments.

• Validate environment readiness, including VM provisioning, operating system configuration,

package installation, and baseline configuration.

• Perform Kubernetes-based deployment activities, including setting up namespaces,

deploying applications, validating configurations, and conducting post-deployment checks.

• Develop and maintain scripts and automation for repeatable deployment, validation, cleanup,

and operational tasks.

Monitoring, Troubleshooting, and Documentation

• Configure and validate monitoring, alerting, logging, dashboards, and post-deployment

health checks.

• Triage Linux, Kubernetes, CI/CD, network, infrastructure, and configuration issues, ensuring

clear ownership.

• Escalate complex issues with accurate logs, findings, reproduction steps, and

troubleshooting notes.

• Maintain deployment runbooks, installation guides, validation checklists, and knowledge

base articles.

• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, observability workflows, DevSecOps practices, or

customer-facing deployments.

• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools or workflows that enhance coding, automation,

troubleshooting, documentation, or engineering productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related

field.

• Relevant certifications or an advanced degree is preferred, though not required.

Requirements

Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, system administration, infrastructure support, or

deployment support.

• Demonstrated experience with Linux, CI/CD, cloud platforms, containers, Kubernetes, and

automation.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with development, QA, operations, and platform

teams.

Required Technical Skills

• Linux administration, including services, logs, permissions, networking, package

management, and troubleshooting.

• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools, such as

Terraform or Ansible.

• Cloud experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, or similar platforms.

• Kubernetes fundamentals, including pods, deployments, services, namespaces, logs, and

troubleshooting techniques.

• CI/CD tooling experience with GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms.

• Scripting capability using Bash, Python, or a comparable language.

• Foundational knowledge of networking, security, monitoring, and logging.
