Job Description: Investment Intern – Equity Investments

Location: Mumbai, India
Duration: 6 Months, extendable to 12 months

Position Overview:

Siemens Financial Services (SFS) is seeking a highly motivated Investment Intern to join our Equity Investments team in Mumbai for a 6-month period. This role offers a unique opportunity to focus on private equity investments, encompassing both direct company investments and fund investments. You will report directly to senior deal team members, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic investment environment.

Only candidates with past-experience in Transaction Advisory Services, Due-Diligence, Investment Banking, Research (Credit or Equity) and Investment Management will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Market Intelligence: Track industry trends and maintain internal sector databases to identify emerging opportunities.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial modeling and analysis for potential investment opportunities.
• Due Diligence: Support the deal team with market research, company valuations, and comprehensive industry analysis.
• Documentation: Assist in the preparation of investment memos and presentations for internal committees.
• Portfolio Management: Monitor the performance of existing portfolio companies and fund investments.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Currently pursuing their CA.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and Microsoft Excel.
• Tools: Familiarity with financial databases such as Capital IQ or PitchBook is preferred.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent English communication skills.
• Past Experience: Only candidates with past experience in Transaction Advisory Services, Due-Diligence, Investment Banking, Research (Credit or Equity) and Investment Management will be considered.
